Men's Club Captain Report

Dear Members

Last week we played the third round of the 4 seasons and a single stableford. Player of the day was a guest and ex St Clair member Rick Meder on CB from Mike Owen, Jed Adamson and Jack Crashley.

With three of the four rounds now completed in the 4 Seasons Adam Crashley is leading on 113pts. Final round is blue tees 29th November.

Otago Matchplay: It seams almost every week we have our top golfers in action somewhere and last weekend was the Otago Matchplay. We had Connor Howes and Parker Aluesi making the final with Connor coming out the winner. Congrats guys.

JW Smeaton Shootout. With only one round to go some big movement on the top ten leaderboard. Into the top ten comes Nick Wells, Steven Lister and out goes Stephen Wheeler and Serge Kolman. Nick is on 379 points but there is quite a few nipping at his heals.

A reminder this Saturday is the last round of the shootout and we have the Calcutta. We also play the Platinum Homes club captains mug and the second to last round of the Ron Johnston Memorial.

Women's Club Captain Report

Last week we played a Trainwreck Stableford which was a new addition to the calendar where you do your stablefords as normal but if you get an outer on a hole, they reset and you start counting again. Final scores ranged from 1 point to 40 points. Congratulations to Shona for taking that out with 40 points.

Coming up in the calendar
28th Oct/1st Nov - 75th Jubilee Combined Stableford (pair up and combine your total stablefords)
4th/8th Nov - 4 person ambrose
9th Nov - Arthur Barnett Cup (match play at Otago)
11th/15th Nov - Stableford and Shootout in the afternoon
16th Nov - Champion of Champions at St Clair (best of luck to Susan, Chris and Jocelyn)
4th Dec - End of year dinner and prize giving (sign up sheet will go up shortly)

Regards
Hannah West

** Melbourne Cup Day – Tuesday 4th November **

The team will be taking a well-earned break to enjoy Melbourne Cup Day — it’s our annual Christmas get-together and one of our favourite days of the year!

Please note the café and bar will be closed for the day while we cheer on the races and celebrate together. Thanks for your understanding, and we’ll be back bright and early on Wednesday!

Corporate Days & Functions

We’re heading into our busy season with Christmas just around the corner, and the Club is already buzzing with corporate days and festive functions.

We’re doing our best to ensure the upstairs Clubrooms remain available for members each Saturday. At this stage, the only unavailable dates are Saturday 8th November and Saturday 22nd November, which are booked for Club-run Christmas functions and serve as important fundraisers for St Clair Golf Club.

We really appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work to balance our events schedule and keep disruptions to a minimum during this busy period.
